AZT triphosphate tetraammonium exhibits antiretroviral activity and inhibits replication of HIV . AZT triphosphate tetraammonium also inhibits the DNA polymerase of HBV . AZT triphosphate tetraammonium activates the mitochondria-mediated apoptosis pathway [1] [2] [3] .
