Isocupressic acid

Isocupressic acid induces abortion in pregnant cows when ingested primarily during the last trimester, it decrease affects the angiogenesis of the female reproductive system, the decrease in blood flow and apoptosis of corpus luteum-derived endothelial cells of the uterine tissue results in abortion. Isocupressic acid shows strong inhibitory effect on Epstein-Barr virus early antigen (EBV-EA) induction (100 % inhibition at 1000 mol ratio/12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol 13-acetate (TPA).
