Product Description
MitoBright Red Probe is a lipophilic, cationic fluorescent dye for labeling mitochondria in living cells with a mild sulfhydryl-responsive chloromethyl functional group that covalently reacts with sulfhydryl groups on proteins and polypeptides in the mitochondrial matrix to form a thioester bond, which aggregates within the mitochondria.
Application: Flow Cytometry
Detection Method: Fluorometric method, Flow cytometry, cell culture
Assay Time: 30 min
Detection Instrument: Fluorescence Microscope, Flow Cytometer
Ex/Em: 579/599
Channel Set: Percp/Cy5.5
Filter Set: TRITC
Figure 1: HELA cells were co-stained with MitoBright Red Probe and DAPI Reagent (25 μg/mL)
Figure 2: Jurkat cells were induced with 0μM or 5 μM camptothecin for 4h, and then the cells were collected and stained with MitoBright Red Probe. The result shows that the mitochondrial membrane potential decreased with enhanced apoptosis, and the MitoBright Red Probe fluorescence brightness decreased.
