Norgen provides a range of kits for rapid and simple concentration and purification of AAV vectors from cell lysates and/or cell culture media. These kits feature fast and simple procedures for concentrating and purifying AAV vectors.

Purification is based on spin column chromatography using Norgen’s proprietary resin as an ion exchanger. Contaminating cellular debris is largely removed while contaminating DNA and RNA is reduced using enzymatic digestion. Vectors purified in this manner are highly active for use in in vitro transduction experiments, and are eluted into a small volume for use in downstream applications.

Purification using Norgens’s AAV Purification Mini Kit across different input volumes consisting of mixed cells and supernatant ranging from 2.5 ml to 15 ml. Increased input volumes resulted in no loss of vector as demonstrated by linear scaling across the different volumes.
