Cell-Free Circulating RNA and DNA Purification and Preservation Kits
Cell-Free Circulating (CFC) DNA and RNA Purification Kits developed by Norgen provide an efficient method for the purification of fragmented free-circulating DNA, RNA, exosomal RNA or total nucleic acids from variable volumes of plasma/serum or cell-free urine samples. The kits are able to isolate all sizes of circulating DNA or RNA irrespective of size or GC content, without bias. These kits provide an advantage over other available kits in that they do not require extension tubes for the purification of cfc DNA or RNA from large sample volumes. The purified cfc DNA or RNA are eluted in an elution solution that is compatible with all downstream applications including PCR, qPCR, methylation-sensitive PCR, Southern blot analysis, reverse transcription PCR, Northern blotting, RNase protection, primer extension and expression array assays.
The Norgen cf-DNA Preservative Tubes are closed, evacuated plastic tubes for the collection and the preservation of cell-free circulating DNA/circulating tumor DNA in human whole blood samples during storage and shipping. The cell-free circulating DNA/circulating tumor DNA levels are stable for up to 30 days at room temperature or up to 8 days at 37°C. Plasma samples produced from the whole blood sample collected into Norgen’s cf-DNA Preservative Tubes and purified using Norgen's different Plasma/Serum DNA Purification Kits yield concentrated, high-quality and inhibitor-free cf-DNA/ct-DNA for any downstream application assays
Since measuring the cfc-RNA and cfc-DNA concentrations from cell-free bodily fluids using common quantification methods is very difficult and challenging due to their low amounts, our partner Norgen has developed two PCR-based quantification kits for the accurate and reliable quantification of cfc-DNA and cfc-RNA from samples that normally contain very low nucleic acid amounts. These kits offer a PCR-based detection procedure to quantify DNA of a wide spectrum of concentrations, including the lower ng per µL, pg per µL and sub-pg per µL range. The unknown DNA or RNA is accurately quantified by using a standard curve constructed from the provided DNA/RNA Standards.
