Protein Labeling using Biotin Protein Ligase or High-efficiency Biotinylation Strains
Biotin labeling of proteins can be achieved by enzymatic and chemical addition of Biotin. BioCat offers high quality components for enzymatic biotinylation:
- Protein Biotin Ligase for rapid and efficient biotinylation of purified proteins or peptides that have a biotin-acceptor peptide sequence such as AviTagTM.
- High efficiency biotinylation E. coli strains featuring a BirA-overproducing gene either in plasmid form or chromosomally integrated for use with our pAN or pAC vectors or plasmid vectors produced by customers.
- Vectors for cloning and expression of N-terminal (pANs) or C-terminal (pACs) AviTagged proteins in each reading frame.
