Myometrial cells isolated from myometrial tissues were infected with hTERT to produce immortalized cells (hTERT-HM). Cells retain differentiation markers observed in primary cultures of smooth muscle cells. hTERT-HM cell line is a suitable cell model for studying human myometrial function.
