Additional Information

This PC3 cell line stably over-expresses small leucine zipper protein (sLZIP) - involved in various cellular functions, including transcription regulation, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis, which are critical in the study of cancer biology. This cell line may serve as an excellent model for prostrate cancer progression and metastasis. Over-expression of sLZIP in PC3 cells allows researchers to explore its effects on cancer cell behavior, including proliferation, migration, and response to therapeutic agents. This cell line is particularly useful for studies aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms underpinning prostate cancer and developing targeted therapies. It is also beneficial for screening compounds that may modulate the function of sLZIP, potentially leading to new therapeutic approaches.
