Additional Information

Fusing a kinase domain to a homodimerization domain such as the PNT domain of ETV6 can result in activated kinase. The DDR1 Stable Ba/F3 Cell Line expresses activated DDR1 tyrosine kinase that is linked to a GFP reporter (GFP-ETV6-DDR1 in MSCV-puro vector). Even though this cell line expresses activated tyrosine, it is non-transforming, meaning that the cells still require IL-3 to grow. DDR1 is a receptor for fibrillar collagen, regulating collagen-related functions such as cell attachment to the extracellular matrix and extracellular matrix remodeling. It is also involved in cellular activities, including cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. This cell line is valuable to study the functions of the DDR1 tyrosine kinase.
