Protein A/ G/ L conjugated Sepharose Beads for IgG Purification

Due to their high affinity and specificity for immunoglobulins from a variety of species, Protein A, G or L coupled to sepharose are an excellent means for antibody affinity purification from ascites, cell culture supernatants and serum.
Recombinant Protein A, G and L are genetically engineered proteins containing only the respective immunoglobulin (Ig) binding regions, see table below, and carrying a 6xHis-tag on their N-terminus.
Other domains such as cell wall binding region, albumin binding region and other non-specific binding regions have been eliminated from all three proteins to ensure the maximum specific Ig binding.
Protein A Sepharose binds up to 25 mg IgG per ml matrix, Protein G and Protein L Sepharose have a binding capacity of more than 20 mg IgG per ml matrix.
Protein A, G, and L Sepharose are prepared by covalently coupling recombinant proteins A, G, L to 6% cross-linked sepharose beads. The coupling technique is optimized to give a high binding capacity for IgG.
The products are supplied as a 50% slurry in 0.01% Thimerosal/H2O.
