Elabscience® 2-NBDG Glucose Uptake Cell-Based Kit provides the green fluorescently labeled glucose tracer 2-NBDG, which can be used in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy to detect the glucose uptake viability of cells.

Performance Data

Figure 1. Jurkat cells were incubated and cultured in medium with (10 mM 2-DG (2-Deoxy-D-glucose)) or without 2-DG (Untreated control) for 60 min, washed and then incubated with 2-NBDG Glucose Uptake Assay Kit for 60 min, and flow cytometric detection of The glucose uptake of the cells was detected by flow cytometry. Incubation with 2-DG inhibited the glucose uptake of Jurkat cells.

Hela cells were incubated and cultured with (left) or without 10 mM 2-DG (right) for 60 min, washed and then incubated with 2-NBDG Glucose Uptake Assay Kit for 60 min, and glucose uptake was detected by fluorescence microscopy, and glucose uptake of Hela cells was inhibited by the addition of 2-DG incubation.
