Glycolate Oxidase Activity Assay Kit

Glycolate oxidase, a non-mitochondrial oxidase, is found in plant cell peroxidasomes and can catalyze the oxidation of glycolic acid to glyoxylic acid and release hydrogen peroxide. Glycolate oxidase is one of the key enzymes in plant photorespiration, and its activity can be used as an important index to measure the intensity of plant photorespiration, which changes with plant development, mineral nutrition and disease susceptibility.
