Optima DTR™ from Edge Bio is a new line of dye terminator removal products based on a proprietary resin that provides clean-up of CE/Sanger sequencing reactions comparable to Edge Bio´s reputable Performa® DTR products.
Optima DTR was developed specifically for high-throughput, high-volume users as a cost-effective alternative to Performa DTR, and is available in 96- and 384-well plate formats. Optima DTR uses the same simple protocol and provides the same high-quality results as Performa DTR, but at a lower price. Moreover, the Optima plates are stable at ambient temperature.

Optima® DTR: The new gold standard in gel filtration based dye terminator removal!
Optima DTR utilizes a fully hydrated gel filtration matrix that allows high molecular weight molecules (sequencing products) to pass through, while retaining small molecules(BigDye v3.1 or other Dye Terminators, nucleotides, primers, salts).

Optima DTR ensures removal of BigDye® Terminator v3.1 (or other Dye Terminators such as BigDye® Terminator v1.1, DYEnamic™ DTCS Quick Start Kit and Methods Development Kit), along with dNTPs, salts and other low molecular weight materials from sequencing reactions. DNA primers and fragments up to 15 bases, buffers, nucleotides labeled with biotin, isotopes and other assorted markers are also eliminated. To minimize the potential for interference with sequencing applications, no preservatives, salts, or buffers are used in the preparation of Optima DTR.

NEW: Optima DTR 96-well Plates are now available as 8-well Strips for a total reaction volume of 10-20 ul. Complete kits include waste plates, collection plates and a balancing strip. A refill format with 8-well strips only is also available.
