How does it work ?
The GenePORTER® Transfection Reagent consists of the proprietary GenePORTER® cationic lipid together with the neutral lipid dioleoyl phosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE). These components provide effective DNA complexing, cytoplasmic translocation, and subsequent nuclear release of plasmid DNA and DNA oligonucleotides.

The reagent is delivered as a dried lipid film along with DNA Diluent, and is available in different formats.

The GenePORTER® Transfection Reagent is shipped at room temperature. For maximum stability, store all reagents at 4ºC upon receipt. If stored properly, the dried GenePORTER® Transfection Reagent is stable for 12 months, and the hydrated GenePORTER® Transfection Reagent is stable for 6 months. The Hydration Buffer and DNA Diluent are stable for 12 months.

GenePORTER®-H Transfection Reagent
The “H” in GenePORTER®-H refers to the hydrated state of the lipid reagent. This hydrated format makes GenePORTER® more convenient and easy to use than ever before. With GenePORTER®-H, you get the reliability and high efficiency of the classic GenePORTER® Transfection Reagent but in a more time saving package. Furthermore, the GenePORTER®-H format offers a guaranteed 12 months of stability. With over 500 citations in peerreviewed journals, the GenePORTER® reagents are proven as reliable and effective transfection tools. Enjoy the performance benefits of the GenePORTER®-H lipid today.
