Induce either human or mouse somatic cells into the pluripotent state using a single microRNA cluster expression vector. The Human or Mouse microRNA302bcad/367 expression cassettes are available in Lentivector formats as well as non-integrating Minicircle DNA vector formats.
The microRNA-based reprogramming method has been published to be more than 1,000-fold more efficient that the standard technique based on Oct4/Sox2/Klf4/Myc reprogramming transcription factors. The microRNA-derived iPSCs display similar morphologies, pluripotent marker expression, and teratoma formation, and the mouse miR-iPSCs contribute to successful chimera germline transmission.
