Cyan Fluorescent Protein (CFP)
TagCFP Monomeric Cyan Fluorescent Protein• Bright cyan fluorescence
• Monomeric, successful performance in fusions
• High pH and photo-stability
TagCFP is a bright cyan mutant of wild-type GFP-like protein from jellyfish Aequorea macrodactyla. TagCFP possesses excitation maximum at 458 nm, and emission maximum at 480 nm. It is significantly brighter than commonly used ECFP.
TagCFP use
TagCFP is mainly intended for protein labeling. It can also be used for cell and organelle labeling and for tracking the promoter activity.
TagCFP performance in protein fusions.
Mammalian cells expressing mitochondria-targeted TagCFP (A), a TagCFP fusion with ß-actin (B), and a TagCFP fusion with α-tubulin (C) were analyzed 24 hrs after transfection by fluorescence microscopy.
TagCFP-C vector for C-terminal fusions
TagCFP-N vector for N-terminal fusions
