Acetylated Histone Detection
Acetylated Histones play a critical role in the epigenetic regulation of gene transcription. Especially acetylation of histone 3 at lysines 9, 14, 18, 23, 36, and 56 (H3-K9, H3-K14, H3-K18, H3-K23, H3-K36, and H3-K56) is involved in pathological processes such as cancer or lupus progress.
EpiQuik Histone Acetylation Quantification Kits
• Quick and efficient procedure finished within 2 to 3 hours
• Innovative colorimetric or fluorometric assay with no need for radioactivity, electrophoresis or chromatography
• Excellent detection sensitivity
• Controls are conveniently included for the quantification of the amount of acetylated histones
• Strip microwell format makes the assay flexible: manual or high throughput
EpiQuik Histone Acetylation Quantification Kits developed by Epigentek are ELISA-based histone acetylation quantification kits which measure total histone H3 or H4 acetylation levels (e.g. EpiQuik Total Histone H3 Acetylation Detection Fast Kit) or acetylation levels of modified histones at particular lysines (e.g. EpiQuik Global Acetyl Histone H4-K12 Quantification Kit).
EpiQuik Total Histone H3 Acetylation Detection Fast Kit
The EpiQuik Total Histone H3 Acetylation Detection Fast Kit is designed for measuring total histone H3 acetylation in a fast format. In the assay, acetyl histone H3 is captured to strip wells coated with an anti-acetyl histone H3 antibody. The captured acetyl histone H3 can then be detected with a labeled detection antibody, followed by incubation with a color/fluorescence development reagent. The ratio of acetyl histone H3 is proportional to the intensity of absorbance/fluorescence. The absolute amount of acetyl histone H3 can be quantified by comparing to the standard control.
EpiQuik Global Acetyl Histone H4-K12 Quantification Kit
The EpiQuik Global Acetyl Histone H4-K12 Quantification Kit is designed for measuring global histone H4-K12 acetylation. In this assay, the acetyl histone H4 at lysine 12 is captured to the strip wells which are coated with an acetyl H4-K12 antibody. The captured acetyl histone H4-K12 can then be detected with a labeled detection antibody, followed by a color/fluorescence development reagent. The ratio of acetyl H4-K12 is proportional to the intensity of absorbance/fluorescence. The absolute amount of acetyl H4-K12 can be quantified by comparing to the standard control.
